About Us
When Ray Penfield and Craig Sewall met in 2006, they began talking and realized they both shared the same passion for good food, great friends and a passion for entertaining.

They instantly connected and as their friendship grew, so did the idea of entertaining for other people.

Laughing and joking one night after dinner, Craig mentioned how his wife Ana would always take her fork
with her around the table and "sample" everyone's plate. Suddenly a spark went off in their heads, that's how entertaining should be! Fun Food with an unpretentious attitude toward sharing and interacting, and thus The Promiscuous Fork was created.

Our menu style is simple, fresh ingredients combined to excite the palate and bring a new spin on some old favorites. Our menu items continue to expand and evolve, while we seek out new & fun ways to
ENTERTAIN YOUR TASTE BUDS!

I had the pleasure of going to a recent networking event and the Promiscous fork was the caterer. They did a great job with the entire event from set up to the array of delicious foods. The smell really made you hungry and I was not dissapointed when I bit into everything I tried. The staff was amazing to work with too. They seemed very comfortable and could melt into any type of setting they were in. I'm very happy I now have a caterer I can turn to for my special events. And I should also mention, the prices were really affordable too. In this economy, that goes a long way! Thanks again!!

Anyway, I want to let you know that I loved the foods that you and your partner served at our BNI party last week. I thought the Caprese kabobs were wonderful, the basil really did it. Great combination and of course the “grilled” Caesar salad. I never had it before and once I tried it…. Loved it! The grilled vegetable medley, beautiful and colorful presentation and they are easy to please everyone, you can’t go wrong with that dish.

As for the bbq beef (was it tri-tip?) whatever it was, it was very tasty, I LOVED it too… , the bbq shrimps and chickens were also a hit. I thought (honestly) EVERYTHING were great. I came a bit late, so I had “only” one piece of your sushi with smoked salmon, bummer!!! And of course, the grilled corn with rosemary? Again, I loved the combination.

The Encinitas Rotary Wine Festival raised $100,000 for local charities on June 4, 2011. The Promiscuous Fork was one of our vendors and was a huge hit among our 900 guests, with a long line of guests who couldn’t get enough of the lamb chops with their special seasons – delicious!  The staff was friendly and easy going.  Thank you Promiscuous Fork for your outstanding effort which contributed to the success of our event!

I want to send this feedback and recommendation for Promiscuous Fork Caterers. I can't begin to thank Craig and Ray enough for all their help in making our wedding so beautiful and memorable. Of course a wedding is always going to be memorable, but Promiscuous Fork enabled my bride and I to enjoy our wedding by relieving stress associated with anything food and drink related. Maria and I were immediately impressed with Ray and Craig's experience and knowledge of how to get everything accomplished beautifully, and within a budget. What I was most impressed about was how they went so far above and beyond what was expected by thinking of so many details that we never would have. I can't recommend Promiscuous Fork highly enough. They are pros and have fun doing what they love, and whoever uses them will be very happy.
